Jazz singer and songwriter Raquel Cepeda presents “Take 5: Jazz in Venezuelan Style," a concert to showcase the richness and complexity of Venezuelan music, expressed in rhythms that challenge the regular patterns of jazz music and bring the mind to unexplored levels of beauty. All with the exquisite vocals of Cepeda and the execution of top Houston and Venezuelan musicians.

Cepeda, in conjunction with renowned Venezuelan pianist and arranger William Sigismondi, will introduce the audience to a select Venezuelan repertoire with contemporary jazz arrangements and also to original music by Cepeda and Sigismondi. They will be in the company of Thomas Helton on double bass, Daniel Martinez on percussion, and Ernesto Vega on flute and sax.
